For those who moved here and dont know too many people to ask advice..
How did u go about finding a cheider for ur boys? There are so many, all with slight nuances that are not necessarily apparent to 'outsiders'.
How do u discover names of places maybe worth checking out?
How do u then go about checking them?
Im just finishing reading mishpacha pesach supplements and love the sound of zichru. Where are these in yerushalayim?
Any other tips on finding the right place would be much appreciated

You can post a bit more about yourself and we can try to think of something that matches your hashkafic profile.
Usually, these things go by word of mouth trends. Where are your friends who are closest hashkafically to you sending?

This is just the problem- we are new in the area and dont really have who to ask.
We are looking for serious learning. My husband works and we dont want our kids to feel second rate for that, yet on the other hand we dont want a more open place where maybe families are more relaxed in terms of learning, tznius, etc. Dh wears black and white only, learns after work every day, girls dressed in tights from 3.. I know im using quite superficial descriptions of hashkafa but not really sure how else to define

The area we are in doesnt have anywhere suitable so it doesnt really matter where suggestions come from!

Look into ashrainu. It's in nachlaot. Mostly anglos but serious learning. Theres a charadi kollel community in emek refaim, located around the emek learning Centre. Try and talk to kollel families to see where they send.
Your son is going to need some friends near where you live.
A very israeli chader will probably not understand and may judge you for why you are not in a charadi community.
