I don't have any leads, but I've been in similar situations, and I'd suggest calling the local shul (Rabbi Scheinberg's shul, forgot the name) and Chabad (unfortunately I don't think there's a girl's high school there to call) to see if they can give you any leads.

My mother used to call the chabad shaliach for babysitting when she had business trips or bring along someone. Just curious...is ur friend going to the Core summit? My mother and three aunts as well as some co-workers are going to San Antonio for that.
