I mean nude/sheer/clear stockings, not black/white/etc
What is age appropriate?
Does that mean she starts shaving her legs at the same time?

They are starting here sooo young. They even make them for toddlers. I let atage 10. We have not talked about shaving yet. I think that will come with maturity. (And more hair)

My girls switch to stockings (for Shabbos only) after their Bas Mitzvahs. Beforehand they wear tights or knee socks. Once in high school they start wearing stockings on Sundays/vacation days when they are dressed up, meaning wearing a dress or short skirt. This applies only to spring/summer and yes, they do start shaving around this age.

7-8 years old.
Depends on size of kid. A very petite kid might look weird in it.

DD 11 also just started, just for Shabbos, when she's in the mood (she has knee sock options for Shabbos outfits in addition to stockings.)
Nothing to shave yet.

Pantyhose at age 12. Start of hair removal age 13 (as needed).

Around sixth grade. I know others start younger, but we don't love stockings on younger girls.
