Can anyone recommend an ice cream parlor / cafe / restaurant or anywhere else that my husband and I can go tonight for dessert? Can't afford to eat dinner out but this would be perfect. Looking for something a bit quieter than the ice cream house style but we don't need fancy at all.

Boro Park, Flatbush areas

Thank you!

Usually the ice cream stores don't have a real sitting area.just a couple of tables and chairs. Ice cream house in bp has the nicest setup out of them all.

Garden of Eat In on Ave. J has a fairly extensive dessert menu and is open later than 6. It's usually not too crowded and shouldn't be loud.

Is it "socially acceptable" in the nicer dairy restaurants to come just to order dessert?

Call and ask if it’s ok.

Yes some people do that on dates.
What about Orchidea? Spoons? Renaissance? Or another dairy cafe.

I called in advance in case they were booked and asked them if it's ok to take a table just for dessert. Most restaurants are gracious and seat you anyway. They want you to come back!

I have no suggestion on a place, but I love the idea of making a date night happen. 👍🏼

Thank you for all the ideas! We'll choose one.
So hard to find a way to have an actual date night between the cost of babysitting, transportation and food so I hope this will accomplish what we need.

Thank you everyone!
