We've been out of the parsha for a few years. We had a Ford Club Wagon. We were told to get an E150 engine vs. the 350 because repairs would be cheaper.
If I was looking for a van I'd look for something streamlined and not oversized. I'm seeing a lot of...forgot the name but they look like Fed Ex trucks and most of them are 15 seaters. I would much prefer a 12 seater.
There are 10 seat SUVs too. Like Suburbans.
Hatzlacha!

We are very happy with our Nissan NV. It's a 12 seater but seats can be removed (for example, you can remove half of the back bench so it's a 10 seater and then there's a lot of space for luggage etc).

There are no 10-seat SUVs, the most is 9. However, there are some aftermarket "child-sized" seats you can install in the trunk for more seating. That kills your luggage space, though.
In the large van market, there are several options.
The Chevy Express (12 passenger) feels like a truck.
So does the Dodge Ram (15 passenger IIRC).
The Ford Transit (available in 12 or 15), and the Nissan NV (12) are the most common contenders for this category. They have been reviewed on Imamother previously, I'll try to find the threads and add to this post. I am partial to the Nissan, which apparently is more comfortable than the others, and has more safety features.
