Can anyone suggest somewhere to stay in Washington DC this shaboss for a couple near a shul and not too expensive? Also is there kosher takeout there?

The main shul in DC is kesher Israel. https://www.kesher.org/. Dc is expensive. I'm not sure about cheap hotels. Char bar is the only restaurant in DC. I'm not sure it does takeout. Your best options for food are either buying in silver spring or bringing from home.

Georgetown suites is very close to Kesher Israel and very reasonably priced (invlodes breakfast too!)
