I had a friend who couldn't get anywhere near velvet. If she saw it, she stayed a good 10 feet away so she wouldn't brush up against it.
My biggest chill is really cheap polyester. If I'm out shopping and I touch a garment made out of it, I have to immediately find a different fabric to touch, and get the chills out of my system. This happens the most often in thrift stores.
"Help, she's touched something from the 70's! We need cashmere, STAT!!"

Yeah, pretty much any kind of bad table manners freaks me out. I don't mean using the fish fork for dessert, but the type that most normal people would find rude.

Someone using a toothpick! Especially at the table. My FIL used to do this - he covered his mouth with his other hand but it was still disgusting!

Me too! This thread is so... what’s the opposite of cathartic?!
Ok here are some of mine:
- The smell of an open can of corn.
- An official government or health insurance website that doesn’t load properly or answer your simple question.
- Automated phone menus that don’t let you speak to a real person.
- And when you speak to a real person they sound like they are 16 years old or don’t speak English properly and are just reading from the website you already looked at.
- When there’s a roll of toilet paper and a small part is wet and you don’t know why.
- Scenes of public humiliation e.g. really bad auditions on talent shows.
- Finding a hair in your food.

When a bug flies close to my ear, the buzzing (both the pitch and vibration) makes my skin crawl - like, full body shudders!

A heavy pot screeching as it's moved on a burner.
Someone scraping their teeth against a metal fork.
Oof!

It's funny, nails on a chalkboard doesn't bother me, but I can't take the sound of something being dragged across a carpet. Even a shoe rubbing against a carpet.
