I have a friend who's halo ring has a white center diamond and a delicate halo of deep blue sapphires. The over all effect is stunning. The diamond looks perfectly clear, and the color pop takes it way up to the next level. She gets compliments on it all the time.

Lovely. That's coming back now. Check out styles from the 1980's. They were similar.
The halo rings were in the late 70s. My mom had one. She called it cocktail style.

Thanks everyone.
I am going to replace the diamond in my current setting with a colored gem. I got the idea here. The setting is wrong for my diamond, but it may work with a different stone. This way the band is not a total waste.
