Examples:
Keep the ball off the ground
Monkey in the middle

Also what are some good board games for that age group? I find games like candyland to be lame. Are there any educational games?

"Under ten" is a big range. There are zillions of board games that are suitable for 8 year olds and not 5 year olds, and vice versa. "Are there any educational games" - take a walk through a nice toy store and you'll understand why I don't even know where to start answering that
In contrast to board games, I find there are card games that are great hits for mixed-age groups. Uno is classic and never goes out of style. Gamewright makes really nice card games. Rat a Tat Cat and Too Many Monkeys are two that I'm thinking of off the top of my head. Adorable designs, too.
