A subscription to a magazine she enjoys.
A subscription to Dina Friedmans course on Marriage! It's an amazing gift mothers give their daughters.

Don't know if it's a good idea coming from her mom. Daughter may think that mom thinks her DDs marriage needs help. (Kind of like giving a "parenting book" to a parent)

I guess it depends on what she likes and what she has. Heres my list for my recently married daughter:
A nice plant (just got this) this is great because shevuous as well
A smoothie machine
A picture/ painting for her wall
A pretty cork board

Does she have hobbies/talents? My daughter loves art and music so I would think of getting her a gift certificate at an art store or gift certificate for more music lessons which she stopped because of the cost.

Why should it matter that your dd is newly married? She's still your dd... What types of birthday gifts did you get her all these years?

Yes but my dd had way less when she was single so it was easier to get her a gift! Now she got lots of wedding gifts so its tougher to think of something

Cash. $150-300?! tell her to spend it how she wishes! Obviously I don't know your budget, but this can be a way to help her.

Think of what she is still missing in her home, that she needs like some kitchen gadget, some nice decor thing that will enhance her home.
Or something personal like a new fun necklace ( not real)
What about a piece of luggage when she travels?

I second a lot of the ideas mentioned above, subscription to a magazine, gift certificate to a restaurant, cookbook...
How about something nice for her house, a painting or picture, fake flowers, ect?

Or ask her to choose something (give her a price range). My mother and MIL sometimes do that for DH and I. Nice to choose something you'd really like but weren't going to splurge on for yourself.
