I like riva Pomerantz style of emotions family issues etc also historical fiction like shortchanged Etka gittel Schwartz.
Recently read upon the wings of an eagle by chaya Diane hager and liked it... Any recommendations on new books?

Song of the Jade Lilly.
(Released May 2019)
Historically Fiction-
1938-45 in Shanghai / present day in Australia
Jewish but not frum.
Not really smutty- like 3 different pages though the entire book discussed intimate relations but does have tension between the characters and the Jewish people eat pork /go out on Saturday....
Predictable, but I thoroughly enjoyed and it gave me a new insight into what and how people survived during the war.
Also, not new but I read and enjoyed recently- Beneath the Crimson Sky, The Lost Girls of Paris, and The Alice Network.
Clearly I have a genre.
Could use some suggestions myself for Yom Tov.
Thank you.
