5-6 potatoes, cooked and mashed
1 clove garlic minced
2 eggs
3/4-1 cup flour
Tablespoon salt
Dash of pepper

Mash together, place heaping spoons of mixture on cookie sheet. Shape with wet hands. Brush with egg and sprinkle sesame seeds.
Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.

Thanks for posting! I'd love to try this.

Does this reheat well? How long does it stay good in the fridge?

I find that they have very little taste without sautéed onions, which is what the stores put in their knishes.

I'm assuming the flavor from the garlic compensates for the missing onion.

Yes even on a blech it warms up nicely. I keep it in the freezer and pull out as many as I need for the meal, but it should last a few days in the fridge.

Just coming back to say I made it and it came out delicious!

I didn't have minced garlic so I subbed a sauteed onion and garlic powder but still came out great.

Thanks so much for sharing this!
