Can anyone suggest something?
Some recipes I see for vegetable kugels suggest corn flake crumbs to lightly cover.
Does anyone have another suggestion that will bake nicely? Bread or panko crumbs just as well for instance?
Thanks in advance for any ideas & have a good yontiv

You can just omit it and not top it with anything.

For a pareve meal you can mix breadcrumbs with ground almonds and some oil and spices. For a dairy meal use grated Parmesan cheese instead of the nuts.

Ooh, thank you. I'm a fairly experienced cook but not so familiar with souffles/ kugels, these suggestions are great, thank you

Golden bread crumbs or panko sounds fine. But corn flakes? No IMO. Corn flakes only for breakfast.

I have used toasted wheat germ on top of broccoli or cauliflower kugel, etc.

Equal amounts of matza meal and sugar, bit of cinammon. Mix well and sprinkle on top of Kugel. Delicious and crunchy
