I am looking for dresses for myself and my daughters (22 years old & 19 years old) to wear to my niece's wedding in November. We are more modern and are looking for tznius length and sleeves but not that "frummy" look (sorry - I don't mean to offend). Any NY based websites to recommend, other than the department stores? Hopefully not too expensive either.

I wore this dress to my sisters weddings last October. Comfortable. Lightweight. About 60 dollar. Two day shipping. Free returns (good bc I had to get next size) and... Amazon!

Btw, in England “costume stores” are called “fancy dress stores” which would have “fancy dress websites” and this is where you would buy your Purim costumes. I had to re-read your post because at first I thought you wanted to get a “frummy person” costume for a wedding! 🤣

Me with sister and her DH in the dress
That was near the end of the wedding and it was still soft and not bugging me. In fact. I was still in the dress like 4 hours after the wedding bc it was so comfortable.

There's a shorter version on Amazon US but it's only 38". If you're not tall it may work. For me 41" inches covers.
