Made Aliyah single and met DH here. Keeping one day of chag is the best!

I always thought I'd miss keeping 2 days chag, especially 2 sedarim and 2 days Shavuot. But not at all, this seems right.

By the way, poll options not quite complete - I made aliya with DH and children, which is different than making aliya as a couple.

Came as an adolescent (14). Yeah, not the best case scenario....
Anyway, I davka really wouldn't mind a 2 day Shavuot, of all the chagim. It combines two things that I love: dairy foods and learning Torah.
I feel that one day isn't really enough to get into the chag. Being only one day, it's too short and abrupt.

Here Here, however they say that in Israel the holiness in 1 day is comparable to 2!

How can I add that option now?
Edit only lets me change the original question

I met an Ethiopian woman yesterday who walked on foot to Sudan, then took a plane to Israel. I'll never complain about my aliyah journey again!

My DH and I worked on the process during our engagement, and came here the week after Sheva Brachos.

Came on my own as a not entirely young adult (well, I still felt young). Then I met dh...
Am I Israeli? In some ways yes, in others less so. When I get annoyed, I still complain about "the Israelis", how "they" drive, vote, behave. On the other hand, I have no other citizenship myself and I like living here and have no intention of leaving ever again (except on vacation, and even then I start missing Israel the moment the plane takes off).

Edit, and during my first year I asked about 2 day chag. Was told 1 day. Felt funny the first year, but not any more since.

The hardest part of a one-day chag for me is the juxtaposition of celebrating joyous days like Simchat Torah with saying yizkor.

For me, one day of chag, especially one Seder, is one of the best parts of living here. The day started to drag yesterday afternoon, it was a little long for me. Wish there'd been a weekday between shabbat and chag.

I added that option, but I had to put it at the end or it messed up the responses.
