Anyone have any tips how to get cheap tickets to Florida? I wish I had airlines miles since I can't really afford to spend too much on tickets. I live in the tristate area and I wanted to go at the end of this month or beginning of next month.

My parents took the Amtrak to Florida, not sure about the price though. They did for adventure.

It's just me and my husband and we're not planning to go for more than a few days so it wouldn't make sense for us to drive.

Drive to philly and fly from there. U can get 50 dollar tickets quite often

We drove straight overnight when we went this past winter. Was not a crazy drive at all. Then you also have the benefit of not needing to rent a car when you're there.

But then you first day there you are wiped out. And a few days later you turn around and drive back? Sounds exhausting.
I'd look for cheap airfare. Check kayak.com or any another similar site.

I checked from Philly and I wish the tickets are $50....In the winter, they are much cheaper. The tickets now are going for about $180 excluding luggage.

Driving is not so cheap if you have a leased car, you end up paying tons for the extra mileage.
