My 16 yr. old DS wants to go to a Shabbos Hisvadus in the Catskills. I do not like what I’m hearing about the person. I’m afraid he’s an extremist as my son said he doesn’t sit on a chair only on a board so as not to enjoy materialistic comforts.

My 16 yr old has a Shabbos hisvadus in the Catskills but it's with his yeshiva not some random person.

I wouldn't be comfortable with my DH or sons attending such a shabbos. What does his yeshiva have to say about it?
