We live in Jerusalem.
My son just finished 11th grade and is basically done with school for the year (a few more tests/assignments but that's it).
I'd love some ideas for work he can do over the summer.
He wants to work. He is smart, capable and physically strong. I think he won't have patience for strictly menial work.
Thanks, Imas!

Interesting idea.
But wouldn't he have to take some kind of course to certify as a lifeguard?

Depending on where you live, there are chugim for training guide dogs for the blind. They are always looking for volunteers. I don't know if there are any paid positions, though. If he volunteered this year, he could probably get paid for the second year.

There are summer attractions that are opening now. Look at museums, farms/ranches, Luna parks, historical sites...
Many need volunteers. I assume he wants to be paid.
I know someone who works at a ranch up north doing horse therapy. A place like that may be a good opportunity.
