I'm sorry that I can't just click the hug button and go on my merry way. I know I don't have anything amazing to say, but I just wanted to say that this sounds very difficult.

Only Hashem can give you the strength you need. I bless you that He does, every minute of every day.

My brother was a beautiful little boy who became autistic after he was fully verbal and functioning. Now he’s an adult and is functioning less than my preschooler.
My parents and I would be thrilled if he did any of the things you mentioned.

I don’t have something ‘amazing’ to say and I’m not offering hugs, bec these hugs are empty platitudes...
But as a mom to a child with sn (mostly medical) and as a sister to a teenager (er adult at this point) on the spectrum... I hear your pain and frustration...
I know it’s not easy (understatement of the year). It’s a life filled with split emotions. Love & pain , searing torn heart & at the same time fierce protection.
May Hashem grant you the koches to keep going on your journey & help you find some strength to soldier on.

Hold on to the good and treasure it. Keep it close to your heart for when the bad times come.

If it's any consolation, you are normal. Even NT kids can give us a world of hurt, and I don't think anyone comes out of parenthood unbroken. Life in general leaves us broken in one way or another.

We pick up the pieces, nurse our wounds, and soldier on.

Wishing you lots of strength, and more good days than bad.

I read your post in the morning and did not get a chance to reply. I want you to know that you are a tzadeikes. Every moment you smile, you laugh, you hug. Every time you put one foot in front of the other and don't give up. Every time you take care of yourself so you can take care of your kids. Every single tear is gathered on high and the reward is beyond measure. I am in awe of you.
