You mean in the catskill mountains? None of the hospitals have specific pediatric but Harris and Ellenvile see pediatric patients.
Hatzola will sometimes transfer to Westchester.
Middletown hospital has a separate ER wing for pediatric patients.

Thanks. How far is the middletown hospital from exit 107? also, does Hatzalah take there?
After these hospitals- which is biggest children's hospital closest to catskills on the way into the city? is it Montefiore?

Montefiore is out of the way. Westchester is the closest childrens hospital. Middletown hospital is at exit 122, it's about 25 minutes drive from 107. Not sure if hatzola takes there.

I can't figure out exactly where exit 107 is but let's say were refering to South Fallsburg.

Westchester is 1 hour and 36 minutes.
Columbia is 1 hour and 33 minutes.

I'll go for Columbia over Westchester any day.

In what kind of traffic? I'm not so familiar with the lay of the land for Westchester, but Columbia is in Manhattan which means you are likely to get slowed down by something at whichever crossing you take.

if you're going to the mountains with a child that you anticipate ER visits, kindly stay home. hatzolah is not as readily on hand as in bklyn or other established communities, roads are difficult to navigate, and closest hospital is good for stitches, if that. I would not run the risk.

To get to Westchester you have to cross the Tappan Z so not so much less traffic.

Crust, you don't take the tappan zee when going to Westchester from mountains. You take the 6, it's a much faster route.

You're right. You can avoid the Tappan Zee but it still takes 1 and a half hours.
