I’ve been told this is normal in Brooklyn but it still freaks me out.
I was waiting for ds bus this morning and a semi just drives right into where ds and I were standing expecting us to move out of the way. There was barely and room for us to stand and get to the bus.
What if ds was older and waiting by himself? What if he didn’t move in time? There’s no way the driver can even see him when he’s this close.
So I tell the chassidish man directing him that this is very not safe. So he gives me this childish “answer” of “would you tell this to me if I was a [non jew]?” I just said “absolutely” but wait what? A [non jew] I think wouldn’t have done this in the first place and would’ve been way more respectful when confronted. Geez. I have half a mind to call 911. Would that accomplish anything or would the company just come after me for reporting?

I would call 911. Or see if there are cameras for proof this guy broke a law and put you and DS in danger!
