My husbands family and my Family all live in areas we either can’t buy a house cuz too expensive or don’t want to because it’s not our crowd as in way too yeshivish or too modern. The area we are looking at has a couple of our friends(not super close tho) and one cousin. Would you consider buying away from all your and dh siblings?

I wouldn't buy right away. I would rent for a while to see how it's gonna work out.

It's not even an option for everyone. If you, say, take a job oot without family, you manage.

I don’t live near any family and we are totally fine. Are you moving driving distance so you can see them sometimes? I wouldn’t want to move a plane ride away, but a few hour drive is okay.

Family will be driving distance, anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours drive. Thanks for making a bit more calm about this huge purchase and decision

20 minute drive doesn't mean moving away from family and not having family nearby! Might not be walking distance but you're not moving away from family.

Our closest family is a 4-hour drive away. We are very happy where we live. It’s important to have a support network wherever you live, so our community and our friends are very important to us.
