My 14 year old SN child is going to sleep away camp for 12 days for the first time.
We have a drop of money left over to spend on us & were looking for a place to go to for about 5-7 days.
We live in Toronto, And driving is our mode of travelling.
I’d like to (if possible):
Do some fun outdoor things;
Go somewhere to see some interesting sights;
Be near some water for some of time;
I included all 3 things b/c we are open to sleeping at various hotels on route.
Any ideas or suggestions are welcome  please !!

Would you go to Boston and Cape Cod?
There are lots of fun outdoor things there and nearby and lots of interesting sights.
You can have a minyan in Onsett which is just over the canal to The Cape.
It is one of my favorite places.

Have you been to Thousand Islands? Mt. Tremblant near Montreal is great in the summer, and for a longer drive, check out Acadia National Park in Maine, which is beautiful and on the water, though it's a long drive from Toronto.
