My mother went to a shiur this week and the presenter mentioned three negative actions of am yisroel, one of which they left har Sinai quickly.
My mother was wondering what the source of this is. Is it written somewhere in the parsha or is based on midrashing.

Digging deep to access HS memories, we left Sinai "ketinok haboreach m’beis ha’sefer," but I don't remember the source.

Perek yud, pasul lamud gimmel (33) says they journeyed from the mountain of Hashem. Rashi on pasuk lamud hay, in explaining why there are 2 inverted nuns, says that the torah is separating 2 bad things. The artscroll chumash, p 116, note 3 writes that pasuk 33 means that they put a distance between them and Hashem. Note 4 says its from the gemara
