I think the difference is that the top part goes higher. I’m not saying that it stays up the whole day but it does for a long while. I find that when I get up from sitting I have to adjust them again but they can stay in place for hours while standing/walking.
It works for me but I am 5”1 and 135 lbs. On the size chart in the back of the package I fit in to the size 2 officially but 2 plus works well for me. It’s a good control top. Maybe you need 3 plus?
