The boys in bloomers thread brought to mind a worse style (IMHO)- the bubble!
For those fortunate enough not to have seen it, it looks like the child is wearing a regular top- even long sleeves- and then the color may or may not change by the diaper area- and ends right under the diaper. That's right, directly under the diaper.
When I first saw this style I wondered if the parent forgot to put on the shorts/pants.
For an infant, I don't like the look but can understand if people think it's cute.
For a toddler though?! The child is walking, wearing socks, shoes- and long sleeves- with nothing on his/her legs!
Does anyone else out there find this style bizzare?
If you do dress your child this way- do you think it looks nice or do you just follow the styles and don't care what it looks like? (not being facetious here- really want to to know.)

I don't put big kid clothes until after toilet training. Part of the incentive.

Powderblue- you won't let your kids wear clothes that are age appropriate in order to motivate them for toilet training?
I must be missing something here.

It's not age-inappropriate because other kids their age are also wearing it. They are in fact toddlers, and after training they can dress like they're five or six.

You forgot - its worn with tights in the winter!
When I first saw it I asked the saleslady- which pants go with these- and got a looook.
After a while it grew on me and my babys got one - or two- or three?

Honestly, leggings and tights are pretty much the same, but don't get me started on that
Would you put it on a walking child in the summer with completely bare legs?

Sounds like you’re describing a onesie? Aka an undershirt. I only put them in my daughter with nothing in top in extreme heat. Otherwise it’s ridiculous

Aaah- you didnt write anything about leggings- only that “the child is wearing nothing on their feet”
No- I dont love the look for walking toddlers- yes, I still have bubbles that fit from last summers infanthood so I still do use it. And yes- many styles seem strange at first.. I had a hard time getting used to shells, pointy shoes, cap sleeves, nude tights, tight pants on boys, ... when I was young we wore dickies, rounded clunkier platform shoes, bone or blue pantyhose
Or shlumpy white slouch socks and baggy pants for men...

it's ironic that that fancy one is 10 bucks while this one is $43 but it is cute.

Ok, that answers my question- you don't love the look but makes sense for you to put it on. I hear that.
And you're right about styles...from your list, there are only 2 to which I capitulated.

Its what google found for me quickly.
You can get same, in cheaper fabrics at Old Navy.
I think if the weather supports it pants are optional until around 9 months.

There's nothing wrong baby legs. Baby bellies are delicious too- doesn't mean I won't dress my child.
And my biggest vent about this is toddlers, not babies.
