I’m looking for a pediatrician for our first child as of now in Boro park.
But I’m also a first time mum and I don’t know what to expect or what to look out for etc
Advice? And doctors?
Also how does insurance work for a newborn??
TIA!!!

We use Dr. Feldman at Dr Bulmash’s office- he’s great for newbies! So kind patient and smart and you can ask him anything

Dr. Steven Styler is wonderfully patient and is an old style family oriented pediatrician. He's located on 48th street and 14th Ave.

Call your own health insurance company to make sure your newborn is covered, and/or add the baby to your family plan.

Dr. Abberback is opening a location in BP. Im strongly considering switching from Dr diamonds office. I'm very happy where I am, and I'm using this practice for many yrs but there's nothing like Dr Abberback. He's FANTASTIC! There's nobody like him. I used him as a teenager that's how I know him. I dont go to him now cuz he's in flatbush.

I’m extremely happy by Dr. Diamonds group. Used 2 different pediatricians before them, so happy I switched to them

I am very happy with Dr. Rivka Stein.
She is affiliated now with NYU. They recently (in the last year?) moved to their new office at 16th Avenue and 48th Street. I specifically found her helpful with my kids who have developmental issues such as autism, ADHD, etc... And with my last baby she really pushed me to get services very early on even though I was reluctant and hoping I can ignore some issues and pretend I finally have a "normal" child.... And now BH my DC is thriving and I am thankful for how she pushed me....
I also felt comfortable asking her parenting questions like about regular stuff people probably ask their family but mine is sadly too dysfunctional....

I know, but too much of a hassle to shlep into flatbush every time. Between all my kids ka"h I sometimes find myself by the dr once a week if it's something going around in the house. It's not very practical for me.
He's opening on 14th ave in the forty's don't remember exactly. Saw it advertised in last week's link or Torah times.

Almost positive he is, cuz he's very popular even amongst Boro parkers.

I also use her and Dr. Kaplovitz from her practice and was happy there. I was told she's closing in January. Where are her patients switching to?

Someone here mentioned Dr. Abberbock is great. Did he open in BP yet? What type of dr. is he?

Hi, I'm Dr Stein

Dr Kaplovitz and I will be joining Dr Diamond's group on January 1. We will still be available to all of our patients and anyone else who wants to see us. We will be dividing our time between the offices. You can call his office and ask for one of us.

We look forward to continuing to give the quality, personal care to our patients that we have in the past.

Hi,
Will you still be affiliated with NYU? My child sees many specialists there. (Not currently your patient)

Hi Oh hi Dr. Stein I didn't know you're on here! We moved away and I miss your expert care. I wish you'd open a branch in Toms River!

We will no longer be affiliated with NYU. However, we do refer to and work with many NYU doctors and that will not change.

Diamond's office isn't affiliated with NYU? In my child's NYU MyChart online it lists all his specialists in NYU and the pediatrician he sees most often at Diamond's office.
