hi all,
My husbands company is making a lot of cutbacks and I'm concerned he is next. I just recently quit my job to stay with our baby- so this is our source of parnasa. He is a junior/mid level mechanical engineer (batchelors from polytech/NYU), working with household applianced for over 2 yesrs. We are in bklyn so Thats ideal but open to the tri-state if needed. Does anyone have any connections , of someone he can send his resume too? I will PM you with it. Please please help if you can.

Also, of course he is looking using online resources and doing his due dilligence. But it can really help if a resume can be personally passed along.

He can work on his own doing appliance repairs for people.
Service calls even before doing any work can be $75 a call.

What ever happens should be for the good.
For years my husband was scared to ask for raise dis to layoffs. He got laid off anyway. Shortly after he found a job that that paid $30,000 more.

Look at Con Ed. Both union and management positions would be open to him. It is not quick process and may take months.

I saw a position for a Drafter in a plumbing company in Bklyn
Does he know Autocad at all?
I'm sorry if this is totally off. I'm trying to understand what type of position he's looking for.
