I have a son, 17, who is struggling to find the right placement. He has a moderate language processing disorder. He bounced from school to school and then was placed in Bobov. He was successful in Bobov, but when they switched to yeshiva gedola he got left off the list by the vaad and wasn't let in. He was not the only boy left behind. Since then he hasn't been matzliach in any school. Either the boys are not eidel enough for him and there is smoking, etc or the yeshiva just stam wasn't the right fit. We have been working with Eizer Yeshivas to place him and they put him in a yeshiva run by Human Care Services. The bochurim there are disabled and everything is way below his level. Also, their plan is to extort money from the state? and get him on medicaid to cover the costs of the yeshiva - even though we have perfectly good insurance. This is incredibly uncomfortable for us and we can't agree.
What do you suggest? Thank you.
