The weirdest thing is that she's not really dark skinned!
We're ashkenazim all the way, and she's just one shade darker than most girls
I'm surprised she even notices!
I told her that everyone loves her for her delicious personality, and doesn't even notice her skin. ( She is a very loving and sweet child)

It's normal for kids to want to blend in.
Btw, my sefardi dd is much lighter skinned than most of her Ashkenazi friends.

My friend’s daughter went to dance class here in Israel for a year and was pretty much shunned by the other girls for the entire year. Only in the end did she find out that they all thought she was Russian because of her blonde hair. And that was reason enough to shun her.

So I went out to buy sun tan lotion for him and told him about it when he came home and he tells me "you know Mommy it's really uncomfortable (short sleeves) I'm really not used to it. It's like smoking for me " lol. I wanted to eat him. Bh found two new long sleeve shirts today that paseed his inspection so now at least have 5 long sleeve summer shirts. Thanks for everyones help.
