I have a friend who is very into cleanliness. She is always complaining how filthy her house is when it is immaculate.
She told me that when her cleaning lady doesn't come she cleans her bathtub with a toilet brush that she used for the toilet.
I thought that was so odd and unsanitary but she said she has very expensive toilets and they are super clean.
Do you use your toilet brush to clean anything other than the toilet bowl?

Scratching my head over the connection between expensive toilets and how clean they are LOL Somehow my expensive fridge isn't exactly self cleaning. I definitely do not use a toilet brush for anything besides the toilet. I use a separate scrubbing brush for the tub and other areas.

Yuck.
If you need extra bushes for cleaning, these are good.

I find this really ironic!
I am not very into cleanliness and would never do that!

Maybe she eats expensive foods and her poop is cleaner.

Seriously, we have expensive toilets that have some system in them that eliminates smells thru vents and flushes differently and looks ams smells cleaner than regular toilets.

Your friend is seriously disgusting to use her toilet bowl brush anywhere but that toilet.

Toilet brushes should only clean toilets! It is the grossest brush in the house! I wouldn't clean my body in a bathtub that's been scrubbed with the same brush you scrape poop with.
If you need good cleaning brushes, dollar tree has excellent ones.

Ewwwwwwwwwwww!

If she really wants to use that kind of brush, why doesn't she just buy another one to use for the bathtub. I'm sure it's cheaper than the expensive toilets she has.

No matter how clean a toilet, the brush used for cleaning it is far from clean. It's the most germy thing I can think of.

But my MIL, the neat freak, will only stir chunky soups with it. I, on the other hand, am not that particular and I use it on clear soups as well. Different strokes for different folks I guess...

That seems to be the yardstick we must use to measure this situation... btw...MY toilets are so expensive, they make soups! Yes. We're wealthy, obviously...

I have a bathroom brush that I clean after each time it's used (by cleaning I mean pouring bleach over and rinsing it until clean).
I also have another brush (smaller size and shape) for the bathtub and wall around it.

That being said, since my brush is cleaned every time it's used, I wouldn't be disgusted by the idea of using it for the bathtub. Maybe that's also your friend's case.

In any case, why would it bother you so much? Unless you use her bathtub...
