My almost 10 year old is so so difficult and I keep hoping he'll grow out of it, but just getting worse. Please help me with how to go about evaluating him.
I spoke to pediatrician who told me to call an organization ( the name just slipped my mind) , but I would like to hear from people who have been there done that.
TIA from a mom who is overwhelmed and clueless...

If you are willing to pay out-of-pocket Ronen Hizami is very good and the kids really like him.

Thanks for your recommendation. Any others here used Hizami? Or have someone else to recommend?

it depends on what kind of evaluation you are looking for
dr. hizami is a psychiatrist, he can diagnose ADHD and treat it with medication if necessary
if you are looking for a thorough evaluation to look from all angles, that would be a neuropsychologist,
they evaluate, and then give you recommendations of where to go from there
I can recommend some good neuropsychologist however most don't take insurance and can be costly
let me know if you'd like

What looks like ADHD can be anxiety or learning disabilities or a combination. He may or may not benefit from medication. A neuropsychological evaluation will give you the most information and guidance for the future. Dr. Miriam Goldstein is very good.

if you have the means, I would recommend starting with a neuropsychological eval,
as that will give you more thorough diagnoses and recommendations
someone mentioned dr. miriam goldstein, she's great, but has quite a long wait time to get in,
there's another local doctor, dr. joyce dweck, who I would also recommend
