I have a piece of steak in the fridge. I'm making tomato cabbage soup for tonight. I don't have to add a piece of meat in it, but do you think I can add that type?

I usually use a different type and wasn't sure how well it would cook like that, but now that I'm thinking about it, I have put steak in chulent before and it got really soft. Thanks. Now I have to tell my ds not to eat it .
