Thanks for all the help, everyone.
It's definitely my bras causing the pain. I am very petite otherwise except for my chest, they don't match the rest of my body. And probably I'm wearing a size too small.

Just want to say I feel you. Though DD isn’t considered that large, when you’re short and petite, a size DD is really large in proportion to the rest of the body. I have a hard time with bras and clothing.

These are some comfortable ones I’ve tried over the years, in order of preference:

Olga Women's Butterfly Effect Minimizer Bra, Mink, 36DD https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00F.....66VA0

Olga Women's Signature Support Satin Bra, 36DD, black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009.....DNSW0

Lilyette by Bali Women's Comfort Minimizer Keyhole Embellished Bra, Rum Raisin/Ivory, 38C https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009.....ZDZMD

Lilyette by Bali Women's Dream Plunge Into Comfort Keyhole Minimizer, Black Jacquard, 36DD https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00O.....TXQ1P

Then if you’re looking for a really comfortable sports bra that has a nice shape (no uniboob), I love this one:
Wacoal Women's Underwire Sport Bra,Black,36DDD https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001.....5MQX3

I hope I'm not derailing this thread. If I am, I apologize. I actually have a Wacoal bra that I love but I've gained a little weight and it doesn't fit well anymore. I really need to be re-fitted by a professional and there's nobody in Macy's to do that. That's why I asked what stores sell wacoal...I figured they would be able to help me.

Saposh possibly, I haven't been there in years but they fit well. Also there used to be a lingerie store in crown heights, maybe they could help

I'm wearing Edith for 20 years.
Last week I went with dd to buy bras and the woman gave her the Abergale. She convinced me to try it as well. I couldn't believe I can wear any other bra than Edith but I tried.
Well lo and behold it makes me look better than the Edith!
She told me it's such a huge competition for Edith that Edith is coming out with a bra similar to the Abergale.

Another vote for the Wacoal sports bra. And Wacoal in general.

If you are large-busted, what bras have you found that are really comfortable? I am suffering from neck and shoulder pain and tension headaches due to the pressure of the straps on my shoulders. I think I'm about a 34 or 36 DD. Help!
(Reduction is not an option at this time or probably ever due to expense. Also I had one as a very young woman and, well, here I am again 20 years later in the same boat. And that surgery was NOT fun, rather brutal to recover from, in fact.)

I second Wacol.
Do you know your actual size? 34DD is not super large. I can't imagine having surgery because in such a situation. You might not be wearing the right size, many women don't. Pop into a nice large department store or a specialized lingerie shop (not a fashion lingerie shop) and get yourself professionally measured.

I also recommend Freya and Wacoal. But if you're in this much pain I suspect your bras aren't fitting properly. Get a good fitting.
