There aren't a lot of options for that size. There are size 12 Zubi knee socks at Family Hose on New Utrecht & 48th Street and packs of the size 9-11 Camp Time JRP socks at Socks & Basics on 13th Ave & 43rd Street (the Memoi brand runs too small).

I wear solid colors knee socks every day, every hoisery store sells them. I never had a problem finding. I wear the JRP or Memoi has a 3 pack that I like.
