My mother loved the little house on the prairie. She's looking for something light, and clean. Something that has a lot of episodes.
Thanks everyone!

What about Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. I think it was from the same era. It's about a female doctor in the frontier. I have never watched it but I think it was geared to the same audience.

Have you considered some of the sit coms that were produced 30 years ago. They were geared towards adults but because of the times (the whole family was watching) they were different than what is produced now. I am thinking of stuff like The Newhart Show, Rhoda, Mary Tyler Moore Show or even I Love Lucy.

Has she seen Shtisel?

Heartland! I have no idea what season they are on now, but it has to be at least 15 or 16. I've lost count. DD and I used to watch it together when she was little.

I wanted to add that the BBC has some wonderful period dramas. They don't have as many episodes as a show like Little House that ran for many years but they are absolutely wonderful.

I just finished the three seasons of Land Girls (WW II based on the women who farmed because of the men who were fighting).

Loved the Lark Rise to Candleford series

The biography of Queen Victoria has been fabulous - I think it just finished the third year

The Crown is also great - this is the history of Queen Elizabeth II - just finished the third year as well

Downtown Abbey was glorious - I think there were six seasons

Cranford - takes place in a small English town in the 1840's

Upstairs, Downstairs

The House of Elliott - about a early 20th century female fashion design

Call The Midwife - about midwives in the East End of London. They operate out of an Anglican organization so there is some religion but it really is not about religion in any way

I loved The Crown on Netflix. I keep checking to see if there is a third season yet.
