I live in Lakewood. Does my son need the warmest coat, or is warmer ok? They claim warmer is good for 9-37 F. He (we) will be waiting for the bus for the first time this year.

Any other good brands for this age (4-5 year old boy)? I want something warm with a good zipper- when I got jackets from gap,'old navy and carter's the zippers were terrible. I also don't want to spend a lot.
