Has anyone tried any of the Amazing Meals, or KJ ones that are in boxes on the supermarket shelves? Can you recommend them, or which ones are worth taking? Need food to travel with no refrigeration available.

The Meal Mart Amazing Meals are decent. Supplement with lots of other items like shelf stable humus, crackers, dried salami, beef jerky, tuna pouches, mayo packets, Kind bars, granola bars, soup cups, apple sauce cups or pouches, natural dried fruit leather, 1 oz packets of nuts, chocolate, etc.

No experience with the ones you asked about, but we've been using Mealmart for years in the most remote places imaginable with great success.

Some are better than others
The kj chicken with potatoes and gefilte are good (if you eat gefilte)
