No Israel. Couple was American.

When people call each others tatty & mommy in front of the kids its not that bad. What about when they call the wife "Her Nur! It's sounds like herner which means horns on the head!! lol

I have it on good authority that some men refer to their wives in public as "Mein Hois". I thought it meant "my horse" but it actually means "my house". Not sure which one is more insulting.

That's actually intended as a compliment as in " my home is wherever she is"

It's like the Gansa treif song from the 70's "She's a brick house. She's mighty mighty, letting it all hang out "
Oy, now I can't live in a brick house anymore. I need to burn mine down.
Do you think a trailer would be ok? A mobile home would be like when the Yidden traveled in the Midbar. I better call my LOR. I hope he answers me soon as it is Erev Shabbos.

Zanvel Zevulun is back with the best Chumrah yet!!!!
Another ultimate selfless Minhag my darling talmid chacham of a Tzaddik of a sweetheart of a never-doing-anything-for-himself-only-kevod shamayim husband.
This erev Shabbos he let me know that he is giving humble, simple ME the ENTIRE honor of ALL the Shabbos prep!!!
He's even generously letting me take out the garbage ( I'm not in my 9th YET)
He's forgoing his usual cholent and kishke project. He's honoring ME with polishing the shoes.
All so that I can get the schar of working lekovod Shabbos!
What a straight forward, humble human being!
I don't know if any of you are zoche to being remotely on our madreiga, although ZZ does offer Shalom Bayis counseling.
( Most wives of his talmidim tend to get mad at him Scratching Head , seriously can't figure out why. Your thoughts on this issue are most welcome!)

I think ZZ needs to get out more...seriously! Far out and away from his "house", and then you can pick your own chumrahs, for shamayim's sake! It might be very liberating...

Until then...happy cholent and kishka!

This isn't something to be proud of. You can't hoard all the mitzvos for yourself. You're obligated to share. As a side note imagine coming to the next world you'll have no company if no one else does mitzvos.

Agree. Yes, you gotta teach him to be mevater of some of his high ideals so he can get mitzvas/schar in different departments. Mevatel retzoino mipnei (autocorrected to Minnie) ritzoino... the ULTIMTE schar & thenZZZ & ZZZ both get olam habah together.
And I second what cookie girl says- happy chulent & kishka (cookiegirl are you related to cookie monster or cookies are your mitzvah in this world? Jooc)

On a different note,I was so delighted to read what a wonderful am yisroel we have- right here on ima- with such lofty ideals. I’m wowed away. It brought tears of happiness to my face (book?) reading about it and really cheered me up. OTOH, there were some sad tears as well, as I’m unfortunately not on this elevated madreiga yet Sad
ISO a spiritual guide. Jewish foodie, do you mentor? No offense to rabbi ZZZ, but I obviously don’t do post mentors (can’t bring myself to say or write the M word so using an euphemism)

She should be proud. She is a role model and inspiration to all us nekevas.
He is teaching his talmidim the same, she will be in shamayim with their wives, (Once they embraces their tafkid).
Anyhow-she wouldn't be with her husband in shamayim anyway, men and women are very separate. It wouldn't be tnius otherwise.

Additionally, Rebbitzen ZZ, Keiyna Hora, how many children do you have- rhetorical, I don't want you to cvs count them. Those mitzvahs of pru'orvu, are entirely his mitzvah-all that schar is entirely his, so if you ever worry about him needing to elevate, you can always just pop out a couple more.

Why does she get your password and not me? How do you expect to bring Mashiach with this type of Sinas Chinom?

I hate to disagree but, Gan Eden all to myself? There's literally no one to tempt me to do any wrong! Even Adam didnt have that...she should continue on her holy path of grabbing every single mitzvah that comes her way, including hosting my MIL ...please grab that mitzvah before I do. (Please!)
