Please recommend movies appropriate for me to watch together with 16 year old dd on vacation. We’re not really into watching movies in our home, but are more chilled about it on vacation. Looking for some recommendations to watch together. We watched descendants which was great. What else is out there? Thanks

I don’t know what the descendants is. What type of movies are you looking for?

Cute, enjoyable, clean. We also watched princess switch together which she liked.

And I was thinking a great movie to watch would be one about a 16 yo, who sneaks out/disobeys her parents and then you watch her life fall apart.
Keep those teens scared straight!

I am kidding, just incase anyone can't tell.

No idea what to recommend.

I would go with classical musicals if she hasn't seen them yet. Mary Poppins, sound of music, Newsies....

A little kissing I guess is ok but nothing more. Not too much flirty insinuations. We’ve seen most of the old clsssics. And she already said she’s not interested in the old ones I remember from when I was a kid.

Penelope, with Reese Witherspoon. Very clean, nice message, sweet and fun to watch really geared for any age, except very little kids. Perfect for an adult and teen to watch and enjoy together. Also not outdated (some movies recommended above were great years ago but are probably too outdated for a 16 year old of nowadays to really enjoy). Also, I think it's currently on netflix. If not, it's easy to find on dvd.
P.s. a little kissing is the farthest it goes.

OP these are all great suggestions but a handful of them are 99% what youre looking for, with one questionable part. Run any suggestion through kidsinmind.com, it will tell you any inappropriate details you may encounter, including the most blase kiss.

You can also look into ella enchanted and what about bob (hilarious comedy)

Or, definitely I Love Lucy episodes. Black and white, clean, and so funny

Good point, you probably want to eliminate the Legally Blonde movies, based on your criteria. But Penelope should be ok!

Also, if your daughter isn't interested in old classics, I doubt you will be able to sell her on I Love Lucy. I thought it was outdated when I was a kid, and I'm a child of the 80s, lol.

Wonder. There's only about ten seconds of 2 teenagers kissing, nothing hot. It's an amazing movie that should be seen by everyone. Plus jacob tremblay is just adorable.
