How about B (pronounced Bee) for a nickname? I know someone whose husbands name is similar to Baruch and she calls him Bee. I think it's so cute.

Thank you for all of your ideas!! My DH and I are both BT and our other kids names are really hard for both of our families to pronounce...they literally butcher their names!! This one takes the Cake on how difficult it is to say! I was just thinking of some nicknames to make it easier for them.

My daughter Bracha's nickname is Bookie

I also know some male Boruch Bookie's.

(Anon because using my screen name would be a dead giveaway as yo who I am irl. My daughters the only Buki in the neighbourhood and I've mentioned where I live many times).

In that case Barry would probably be best. In general though Baruch doesn’t have a universal nickname.

My relative’s name is Baruch, he started out being called Burry, and and some point it changed to Buddy, and that’s what he’s still called.

My son tells people to call him Barak like the former president 🤪. But that’s not really a cute nickname.

Barak is a Hebrew name. Barak ben Avinoam - see sefer Shoftim.
He's changing 1 Hebrew name for another. I always wondered why Obama had a Hebrew name.

As for easily pronouncible nickname for Baruch. I'd go for 'B' (Bee).

No it's not. Barry is a totally unrelated English name. I have a relative named Barry and his Hebrew name is Berel, not Baruch. There is no English equivalent to Baruch.

Barak is also the Arabic equivalent of Baruch, meaning blessing.

The Latin is Benedict. The Italian is Benito, but I don't e anyone wants to use Mussolini's name.

I like Buddy, or Rocky, for OP's purposes. They aren't so similar as to mangle the child's name, and they're very accessible, friendly nicknames for the unaffiliated.

I considered using the legal name Benet for my Boruch. It's the same as Benedict.
