I read online 18,000 have no power in Monmouth County and it could take DAYS til power is back.
Parts of Lakewood were hit badly.

I didn’t have power for 24 hours. In 11234 area code Brooklyn. The hardest part was not having AC but we managed. I heard shmira/Shomrim can lend generators.

I had no idea until I got a text about putting up newlyweds. So crazy. Wow..
The newer developments have the powerlines underground..

But if a line goes down that feeds the development the entire development doesn’t have.
It’s not just losing full electricity - it’s a brown out in many areas. A few of my family members near yeshiva have electricity but not enough power to run the air conditioning. BH today is much cooler.

Yup, we live near yeshiva and have brown out. Some lights are working more dim and others completely out and a/c not working. So grateful to Hashem this happened yesterday and not Shabbos or Sunday, when the weather was unbearable.

Anyone knows when Raintree is getting power back? I think a lot of Raintree has no power at all.
