So, we are packing up our house to move and as bookshelves and heavy dressers were moved out I found so much dust.
In order to move these things they would need to be totally empty and I’d probably need some help moving them.
But the dust was so gross and I hate the thought that there is so much dust sitting around us, even though it’s behind or under furniture.

Do people regularly clean behind or under heavy furniture?
How do you do it?

I feel like I missed a lesson in being a baleboosteh Wink

Is there enough space for a duster to reach behind or under the furniture? If so, use one with a long handle to clean it out. If not, it's expected that it won't get cleaned until it's moved.

Move the furniture twice yearly to get the dust.

Have never used these, but it’s worth a try

Also, you should bolt your bookshelf to the wall.
CVS, it could topple over a child if they attempted to climb on it

I dampen a few connected (good quality so they don't break off and get left behind) paper towels and wind them around a yard stick. Then I stick it behind or under a heavy piece of funiture. If I can't get the big hunks of dust that way (I only do this about once a year), they will have to remain there.

Ok I’m feeling a bit better Smile

It was all things that were on carpet, and if there was a gap underneath, not big enough for even the skinny vacuum nozzle to fit. But I guess I could wiggle something behind the piano - I’ll try some of the ideas mentioned.

Thanks! Might give these a try!
Our new place has wood flooring in the living area so these look like they would help
