Is there a difference between the two once roasted?

I prefer the taste from fresh, but not sure if I'm just imagining it...

Make a few of each at the same time. Have someone else put one of each on a plate with a secret sign. Taste both and see if you can really tell the difference.

It depends on how long they've been frozen and how you season it and roast it. Certain preparations would be challenging to taste the difference. Others, it is obvious to at least to me.

Yes, I do taste a difference in chicken that was frozen after being roasted. I don't taste a difference in chicken that was frozen properly before roasting.

Previously frozen chicken turns dark by the bones and fresh doesn't. To me that is the major appeal of fresh, but I am not so picky that I won't eat both.

I'm referring to both freshly cooked - either cooked from fresh or from the freezer.

If you pack it properly for freezing, freeze fresh and use within the month, there's no noticeable difference.
