BROWNIE BARS
Ingredients:
Dough:
1 16 oz. whipped topping
5 cups flour
1 lb. margarine
Filling:
1 stick margarine
1/2 cup cocoa
1 cup flour
1 box confection sugar
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons vanilla sugar
3 xl eggs
Dark Chocolate, for drizziling
Directions
Preheat oven to 350
Prepare two cookie sheets, lined with paper.
In a mixer prepare the dough by mixing the ingredients well till smooth dough consistency is formed.
Then separately mix all the filling ingredients till well combined.

Divide the dough into about 6 sections. (For 6 long logs)
Add a bit of flour to a clean counter and place dough on it. Using a rolling pin, quickly roll each section of dough out to about ¼ inch thickness. In a long narrowish rectangle shape. (Rectangle can be upto the length of your cookie sheet.) Place the chocolate filling from top to bottom, running down the center of the dough and then fold the two sides in. (To achieve look on picture above) Place roll onto the lined cookie sheet seam side down.
Do the same to the rest of the doughs and create long rolls. You will cut them after baking. .
(TIP: To make the cutting easier, you can score the dough a bit before baking, creating marks at the places you'll want to cut.) .
Bake at 350 for about 40-45 minutes. .

Once done, cut into single bars (while still warm) I cut mine at about 2 inches). Drizzle with melted chocolate. .

1 10 oz carton whip topping (unwhipped)
6 Cups flour
1 lb margarine
1 tsp vanilla sugar

Knead all ingredients into a manageable dough. Divide into 9 equal parts

Filling:

1 stick margarine
1/2 Cup cocoa
3 Tbsp oil
3/4 tsp baking powder
1 cup flour
3 eggs
1 1/2 Cups sugar
1 1/2 vanilla sugar
Melted chocolate to drizzle

Preheat oven to 350
Mix all ingredients on medium speed until smooth and creamy

Roll each dough into long rectangular shape. Spoon filling along the center of dough approximately 1 inch wide and 1 inch thick. Fold dough over to one side . Pinch to close and place seam side down. Cut slits into roll 7 inches apart

Place rolls into lined cookie sheets , seam side down and Bake for 20-30 min.

Cut bars along the slits. Cool completely. Drizzle melted chocolate on top of bars forming a striped design

These recipes are brownie bars that are similar to Reismans individually wrapped brownie bars. It’s a dough with brownie filling and drizzled chocolate on top.

What is the measurement of vanilla sugar in the filling?

Thank you MLC and thunderstorm!! I will definitely make that the next time I have whip.

I was thinking more of the fudge brownies that have colored choc chips on top if some one has that too.

Duncan Hines has two sets of instructions depending on whether you want fudgy or cake-like brownies.

Yeah - only difference is amount of eggs. it’s one egg for fudgy and two for cake-like. My cousin swears by buying two boxes and putting three eggs for something in between Smile

1 1/2 vanilla sugar means when the vanilla sugar comes with a scoop you use 1 and a half. Lately they don’t have scoops so I consider each scoop a tablespoon .

The Walmart brownie mix (had hechsher when I last made them a year or two ago, I assume they still do) is really good.

Not super easy to judge from a picture but look like
1. Dough rolled too thin or filled with too much batter
2. Baked too long
3. You are supposed to carve shallow lines along the log to help into pieces while still warm. I think that also helps the hot air escape during the baking process and allows for a more even result?
