Could it be that you just need to cut down a little on calories? I’ve been doing Keto and reached a plateau with my weight loss and realized that I have to scale back. Oil and fat has a lot of calories and they can add up really fast.

I am thinking the same. Calories from fat are a part of the Keto diet, but this seams like it is basically the whole diet. Perhaps exchange some of the fats for veggies - you can eat way more of them to get to the same calorie goal, and you will be consuming extremely important nutrients, and cutting a little fat...like eat the chicken without the skin, and eat more veggies with lunch, for example. Also, another vote for a little less fat and more veggies - you definitely need more potassium in your diet. Also, why is all your fat from animal sources? What about almonds (better than peanuts), avocado, flax and chia seed? Much healthier fats...I think those changes will help...

Sorry but your comments makes me think you don’t know what keto is all about

It is very possible that we learned about the Keto lifestyle from different sources. I listen to Dr. Eric Berg on YouTube. I wish you all the best on your healthy lifestyle journey!

I also listen to dr Berg
No where does he say NOT to eat fatty protein
Dr Berg version is “Healthy Keto”
Eggs and cheese are ok on his program
Fatty protein is ok on his program
As far as salad and veg
I have a HUGE salad perhaps 5-7 cups
And I have about 1 cup of cooked veg

The fat on the veg and salad are not animal fat

I sometimes eat avocado, but at 7g carbs it’s not everyday
I do TOTAL CARBS, not net carbs.
Nuts- occasionally I’ll eat some, but they always get me in trouble so I try to stay away

Flax and chia are estrógenos, and since I do total carbs I can’t do too much either

Maybe I’m eating too much protein
Keto is suppose to be moderate protein

I would think post menopause you need all the estrogen support you can get?

So it’s probably too much food
But if not I’m hungry in between
I guess I’m not fat adapted yet

I’m pretty sure that after a year of 20 g a day, you are fat adapted.

I agree with this statement to the effect that keto as a specific lifestyle choice does not include more veg to ‘fill you up’. Moderate protein and high fat are the themes. Who ever said beef tallow or chicken fat wasn’t healthy?

I came back to say that if you’ve been doing keto for a while, you may be low on carnitine which is a nutrient your body needs to convert fat to energy efficiently. You may need a supplement or prescription, depending on your blood work.
