What is the best way to thaw these without the use of an oven/microwave?

Let it sit sealed in a bag on the counter. If you're in a rush, remove the roll/slice of bread from the bag and put it on a plate and cover with a paper towel so it doesn't dry out. Goes quickly.

I do the same but I open the ziplock slightly because I seem to get condensation inside a sealed plastic bag if I don't.
I don't keep them out on the counter long enough for them to get stale and dry out because either they are eaten when thawed or else they are resealed.
I generally cut my bagels, English muffins in half so that way if I want to just toast a single serving or even a few servings, they can go right into the toaster oven without thawing.
