Hi,
Anyone know where I can get a knee-length swim skirt (with matching top or not) for girls (age 6-8) online? Not too expensive and with a return policy preferably in case it doesn't fit.
TIA!

Expensive but free shipping & returns. 4% discount available now.
Check out if Basic Colors still has skirts available online. They are inexpensive but you'll have to pay for shipping and returns.

Thanks, Ra Mom.
The Amazon one is adult sizes... and Basic Colors is out of girls swim skirts.
I'm a bit hesitant for the dresses because I've seen it go over kids' heads when they swim.
Thanks for any additional ideas!

Another brand to checkout is Hydrochic. I have several of their modest swim skirts myself. They have a girls line now too. Look for when they have good sales (usually winter time can get half off)

Hydrochic looks great! just a bit more than I wanted to pay (especially since we already have tops).
They have swim skirts now from Coolibar. But they don't really go near their knees... my older daughter at least is becoming aware of her legs being uncovered.
I might need to get over my swim dress hesitation. I welcome any thoughts on whether they are really unsafe or not?

I understand your worry. We mostly use our dresses for water parks and the like and swim in suits. Maybe sew in heavy duty snaps so that the inside of the dress is attached to the swimsuit. Or sew in that snap-leotard-bottom inside, like shvim kleids have.

isn't a shvim kleid the same thing as a swim dress?

It has a panty sewn in with snaps at the bottom, kind of like a leotard. So dress never goes up higher than hips/waist.

Heimish undergarment shops? I'm not sure. Probably a place like The Lingerie Shop. I once saw one outside at the discount store in BP called A&D Children's Wear. I thought it was a swim dress but when I went to look at it I realized it wasn't what I was looking for.

All Heimish local stores in Monsey carry swim dresses. Check out lulu or pastel online. Sock shoppe and prim also have huge variety.
