Many kids kah, several of them have special needs. Being in and out of Hospital and going to specialists with the kids, DH lost his job.
We live in a tiny apartment, we are literally choking.
With no income and being in debt, we see no way out Bderech Hateva.

What I need here is NOT Sympathy. Advice here can sometimes be hurtful and unhelpful. So please refrain.

I need hands-on help.

DH is a capable person who wants and likes to work, and is ready to give it his all. He is looking for a white collar job and open to hear of positions, preferably where he can make a difference in peoples lives.
Including managing large firms, working hands on with clients, families of special needs...

If you have resources for a job for my DH or can bail us out of our dungeon cramped apartment, please reach out to me at: Tizki.Lmitzvos@gmail.com

Where are you located? If you are in Monsey contact Tomchei Shabbos. They can help your dh find a job.

There is a Monsey Job group on Facebook. He can post what job he is looking for.

Twitter @jobsmonsey

There is also a WhatsApp group. I don't want to post the number here, but it can be found in the Facebook group.

I really appreciate your helpful advice. We will reach out.
He managed a big office firm with many workers for years. He is a smart guy, bh very capable with a head on his shoulder.
He has great people skills/customer service, phone skills, great at sales.
Not looking for simple office job. Potential for growth a must.

If he is open to working hands-on with clients or individuals with special needs, he can send his resume to any agency that is funded by the OPWDD - there are day habs, residences, he can even work in a day program and then get extra hours after regular program hours as a com hab worker.
I’m not from Monsey so I don’t know specific agencies there.
If he has a bachelors he may also be able to get a job as a care manager. I think Tri-County care was looking for care managers.
There are usually a lot of agencies with openings if he’s open to what type of position he gets it’s a great way to get into the field and work your way up.

Best of luck!

Just saw this post after I posted. If he has that much experience he may be able to apply for a supervisor position in any of the agencies I mentioned earlier.
Or just look around for any type of office or company position. Luach.com may have job postings that are applicable.

To work for these agencies, you need specific degrees. Though he has the skills for it, Unfortunately he doesn't have these degrees. Sad

He might have to be willing to take something lesser and work his way back up.

He should get any job for now and pursue getting a degree at the same time.

Is he on LinkedIn? There are a number of recruiters there that he can connect to. I landed a job through the help of a recruiter I reached out to on LI and I'm really happy.

Is he Yiddish speaking (in addition to English speaking)? If the answer is yes I will look into something I know about and email you if relevant.

You do not need a degree to work with special needs people in their residences, day hab programs, or doing com hab. The first thing he needs to do is get a job so he can generate some income so this is a good job that he can do while looking for a better job. He can even schedule this job differently (like sunday or evening hours) if he does find another job so that he has additional income on the side.
