Are they ridiculously narrow?

Would boys who go to a Yeshivish Lakewood school be better off with these because of fit because of the 3% spandex, or better off with the ones that arent "skinny" and 100% cotton (not stretchy)?
These are the not skinny ones:

Are they usable on Shabbos with a nice sweater? Weekday?
Theyre having a sale now.

My kids go to a yeshivish school in monsey and they say that the regular are too baggy. I buy the slim fit in a regular or husky size, depending on the kid and they're perfect. Not really for shabbos.

This.
Not for Shabbos.
My kids wear the skinny in a yeshivish Monsey school and they are not tight like I've seen with others. These are just narrow rather than tight. The regular fit are pretty wide. My boys are under 7 though, so not sure what it's like with older kids.

They're good for older kids too. Not super tight, not too baggy.

I get these in slim. May not be the cheapest, but decent price and the cheaper ones haven't lasted the whole season for me. I also haven't found that the more expensive ones lasted any longer than these.
